Crystalbeads is the website for original beaded jewelry made of semi-precious stones, decorative glass, shells and metals. Many designs were created by established jewelry designer Barbara Crystal, who got her start in 1985 selling to clothing designers, high-end fashion stores and women wanting quality jewelry at affordable prices.
On a recent buying trip to New Mexico, Barbara acquired a line of authentic Native American jewelry, which is also included on the website. These are all hand-crafted pieces of incredible workmanship. Unlike knockoffs from China, buying this jewelry helps support Native American artisans.
Barbara was born and raised in New York City. She and her husband moved to Orlando to raise their two sons. From there work took them to Houston and now Chicago. Each city has its own flavor, and these ingredients help spice the designs that you see on this website.
